CHRISTIANS, “The Woman in the Window,” 1960-65

Professor George Christians was a professor of sociology at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He took up photography in both black and white and color, covering a wide range of subjects,. He was especially committed to the health of the planet–his best known series documented the oil industry.   We are fortunate to have a small collection of his vintage silver gelatin prints directly from the estate, and can share them at accessible prices.
