Madeline Fockens Haase (American 1931-) was born in California and was in Los Angeles for studies at Mount St. Mary’s College and Immaculate Heart College, but grew up in Arizona. She exhibited widely in the 1950s throughout the state and beyond, and her work appears in important West coast collections. Her masterful play of color and form is reminiscent of Stuart Davis, another superb American modernist.
