Ullberg illustrated for department stores such as H. Liebes and Neiman Marcus from 1946-1954. Her work was published in local and national newspapers. She also illustrated books, by Francis Fitzpatrick Wright, “Lucy Ellen,” 1940; Mildred Foulke Meese, “Star Light, Star Bright, 1940; and E. J. Craine, “Evermay Ranch,” 1940. Her husband, Lloyd Ullberg, was an important photographer, but she was perceived as only an illustrator–despite the quality of her superb easel paintings.
